Talk:Wayland
KDE, Kwin, Wayland
What about kde / kwin ? How can we start a kde Wayland session ? I guess this is outdated ? : http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2013/06/starting-a-full-kde-plasma-session-in-wayland/ — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Orzel (talk • contribs) 31 January 2017
- The article is not comprehensive and the fundamental content is lacking. Currently, I think that Wayland may be supported by several applications at a variable level. I think an overview and a more in-depth explanation may be required. However, your issue seems to be related to KDE and should be "treated" on the KDE talk page. Keep in mind, the wiki is not a place to ask support. A more constructive approach would be to show that the problem stems from the characteristics of Wayland, is common to several applications and help to solve the problem. --Feng (talk)
Wayland and Weston
Weston are not a Wayland implementation! I think it would be nice to create an article about Weston. Thus, it will be more convenient to edit the article about Wayland because there will be more space to add information and the fundamental information will be more visible. Finally, I think this separation will avoid the confusion between the protocol (Wayland) and the compositor (Weston). --Feng (talk) 07:58, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- Then create a Weston article. No one is stopping you. You're also welcome to add clarity to this wiki article as well. Kind regards, --Maffblaster (talk) 06:11, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- I created an article for Weston. Feel free to improve it. --Maffblaster (talk) 06:27, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
