Under Mint-X icons, the "Important" note says, "Always install the Mint-X icon set with at least one colored icon set as it relies on it." This is very unclear. Is it trying to say: "If you install Mint-X, then you must install at least one of the colored icon sets (like Mint-X-Orange)", or: "If you install a colored icon set (like Mint-X-Orange), you must also install Mint-X"? (I'm guessing the latter.) Someone who knows, please improve the wording of the note. - dcljr (talk) 17:18, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- You are right, note isn't clear, I modified it (and yes Mint-X set is always needed with colored sets). Francoisd (talk) 17:12, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

my cinnamon with default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop profile really good work without gtk+extra
> x11-terms/gnome-terminal Requires systemd
this is mistake

- Hi Cronolio,
- my cinnamon […] really good work without x11-libs/gtk+extra, very good! When I wanted to get Cinnamon working it was a long process, undocumented, didn't take complete notes about each steps. I think at some time x11-libs/gtk+extra was mandatory. The sentence (didn't write it, and seems to be true) makes the Cinnamon experience more complete is not a requirement, only a suggestion. Again, good thing if x11-libs/gtk+extra can be avoided.
- x11-terms/gnome-terminal requires systemd, this is mistake: if systemd is masked, according to Gentoo Without systemd Wiki page, this is not a mistake. I didn't try without masking systemd, can you tell us if you did? Francoisd (talk) 19:17, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hello Francoisd,
- it my settings in make.conf for cinnamon if profile default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop
- CINNAMON="-qt -qt4 -qt3support -exceptions -kde -gnome-shell -systemd gtkstyle networkmanager gtk gtk3 gnome-keyring dbus consolekit"
- USE="${CINNAMON} ..."
- Hello Francoisd,
- Cronolio you are right, x11-terms/gnome-terminal can be emerged without bringing up systemd, when
-nautilus
and-gnome-shell
"negative" USE flags are set for this package. Good thing, surely usable for other Gnome packages. Francoisd (talk) 11:24, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
