I came to Gentoo to avoid systemd, from Linux Mint. I wanted to keep Cinnamon desktop environment and it was a long process to make it work. This installation was poorly documented so I wrote Cinnamon Wiki page (reviewed by Gentoo experts!) and it's French translation.
