vdev is another device file manager. According to its author, it is intended to strike a balance between the approaches of mdev and udev (or eudev) in terms of how much work the user is required to do.

Installation

An ebuild for sys-fs/vdev is available from bar-overlay.

root #emaint sync -r bar

Emerge
