eudev — поддерживаемый Gentoo форк udev, менеджер файлов устройств для ядра Linux[1] для конфигураций, не использующих systemd. Он управляет файлами устройств в каталоге /dev и обрабатывает все пользовательские действия добавления и удаления устройств.
