When using pulseaudio for bluetooth, in order to get access to the microphone, you need to specify native-headset or ofono-headset. Both can be set, but pulse can only use one. ThePalindrome (talk) 23:10, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Bluez5 with ALSA

Currently, I'm working on restoring the possibility of connecting Bluetooth headset (any Bluetooth device with audio related profile) without PulseAudio. The work is still in early stage (bluez-alsa), however it seems that for a simple case it works already (single headset connected, A2DP profile with SBC codec). - Thanks. Were you going to add part of your work to this article or can we close this discussion? --Maffblaster (talk) 05:09, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
