The Gentoo Mozilla team is responsible for all Mozilla related packages in Gentoo. Most package development is done in the mozilla-overlay before the packages get merged back into Portage.
Stable Firefox/Thunderbird packages
Since our resources are quite limited, and stabilization realistically takes at least 4 out of the 6 weeks between Mozilla releases, we decided to only stabilize ESR (Extended Support Release) versions of Firefox and Thunderbird. ESR releases occur every 7 major versions, and there are up to 8 releases in each ESR run.
